Matar -- Curry Beef and Vegetable
Makes about
6 servings in about 20 minutes
1 jar Garam
Masala Curry
1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb frozen (or canned peas)
fresh lime or lemon (optional)
Chopped coriander for garnish (optional)
In a saucepan,
pour contents of Garam Masala Curry. Add the hamburger and frozen
peas. Stir the hamburger until it is well coated with the curry.
Continue cooking until curry comes to a boil. Simmer until peas
are tender and beef is done. Taste. If it is too spicy hot for you,
add a little milk or sour cream while stirring and simmer for another
minute. Squeeze lime or lemon juice and garnish with coriander and
a dollop of sour cream. Enjoy with rice or bread and salad or your
favorite vegetable.
